Thomas Berger chairs the Management Board of Harmonic Drive SE. At his side are Norimitsu Ito, who is expanding the company's technology leadership in Asia as a member of the Management Board, and Christian Reuter, who is responsible for production strategy and optimisation.

Thomas Berger graduated in business administration at the University of Hamburg with a degree in business administration and brings over 30 years of management experience in the commercial sector to the company. With him, the Supervisory Board has appointed an accomplished manager as Chief Executive Officer, who will in particular drive digitization in mechanical engineering and the sustainable transformation of the company. Thomas Berger has been a manager at the company since 2002 and has held the position of Chief Executive Officer since March 2022.
Until February 2022, Norimitsu Ito serves as Chief Executive Officer. In order to be able to influence important market decisions and strategically exploit the growth course of Asian markets, Norimitsu Ito has relocated his business headquarters to Asia. After a bachelor's and master's degree in Japan, he completed his education in 2000 with a master's degree in Business Administration from the Cranfield School of Management in England. Norimitsu Ito brings extensive experience from various positions in Asian and European companies to Harmonic Drive SE.
Christian Reuter began his apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic at Harmonic Drive SE back in 1992 and went on to complete his technical college entrance qualification in mechanical engineering. Over the years, he progressed from skilled worker to Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, he led teams in production, initiated lean management and KAIZEN projects and introduced international production standards in close cooperation with colleagues in Japan. In 2021, he took over responsibility for production strategy and optimization to meet the requirements of new markets and has been COO of Harmonic Drive SE since November 2024.
