Flexibility in machine design

The BHK Series Frameless motors consist of a moulded stator and a ring magnet. This allows the frameless motors to be used to customise the complete drive solution. The motor or machine manufacturer can integrate the frameless motors according to their specific requirements, realise their own bearings and design an encoder system according to their wishes. The short overall length of the frameless motors enables a compact drive design. The large hollow shaft in the ring magnet can also be used for a hollow shaft of the complete drive solution so that, for example, supply lines, compressed air hoses or similar can be routed through the rotary axes of the machine.

Thanks to a high number of pole pairs and a high copper fill factor, the BHK Series Frameless motors achieve a high torque density and are therefore ideal for dynamic positioning applications with the necessary overload reserves.

Due to their design principle, the BHK Frameless motors have low cogging, which in turn results in very good synchronisation characteristics with low speed ripple.

The integrated linear PT1000 temperature sensor can be used not only for safety shutdown in the event of overtemperature, but also for analysing the operating temperature, thus providing a basis for condition monitoring.
