with Dual Encoder
At SPS, Harmonic Drive® is presenting the new CanisDrive® with Dual Encoders – a new variant of our proven servo actuator. Two encoders form the basis of this advanced drive concept.
High power density, compact dimensions, precision and reliable operation remain key features of the CanisDrive® series. The new version expands on this concept with state-of-the-art encoder technology for demanding servo applications.
We will be showcasing the possibilities this offers for the first time at the SPS in Nuremberg.

Harmonic Drive®
Triangle Technology
The Triangle technology is based on a revolutionary advancement of the proven Harmonic Drive® operating principle. The rounded triangular shape of the Wave Generator creates three tooth engagement areas between the externally toothed Flexspline and the internally toothed Circular Spline.
The rotation of the Wave Generator results in continuous, circumferential tooth engagement between the Flexspline and the Circular Spline. As the Flexspline has three fewer teeth than the Circular Spline, rotation of the Wave Generator causes the Flexspline to undergo relative movement with respect to the Circular Spline.
